This Privacy Policy explains how Online Compass (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use https://onlinecompassapp.com. In short: the compass itself sends us nothing. The only data practices to be aware of relate to cookies, advertising and basic analytics, described below.

Information we do not collect

We do not require an account and do not ask for your name, email or any personal details to use the compass. Your device orientation, heading and geolocation are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to, received by, or stored on our servers. When you tap “True north”, your coordinates are used only on your device to compute magnetic declination and are then discarded when you leave the page.

Cookies and local storage

We store a single preference, your light/dark theme choice, in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device. Third parties described below may set their own cookies.

Advertising

To keep Online Compass free, we display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Children

Online Compass is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
